Estalagem Sao Domingos Mertola is located in the exclusive part of village of Mina de Sao Domingos. Built in 1875, in a Victorian style and influenced by the architecture of Alentejo, the original building was served as the headquarters of the mining company and today is transformed into Sao Domingos country hotel. Guests can make some adventurous outings or visit some of the interesting and picturesque towns as well as villages in the area. An observatory is also provided at the hotel, from which the endless mysteries of the stars can be admired. The hotel boasts bedrooms that are well furnished and come with all the comforts of home to provide you with peace and calm ambience. The on site restaurant serves local cuisine of the Alentejo by refining them and serving in original way. A salon for banquets and receptions as well as Luz Auditorium, accommodating 100 people for all sorts of events are provided at the premises. In addition, a swimming pool, fitness room and billiard room as well as a library and a garden are also available.
